The Kiwanis BBQ Braggin’ Rights event was held on Saturday, June 3 at the Morgan County Fairgrounds.
The day was full of sunshine, support and smells of barbecue. Cash awards were given for “Grand Champion,” “Grand Reserve” and “People’s Choice.” Competitors needed to cook in all categories (chicken thighs, ribs, open and pork butt) in order to qualify for awards.
Organized by the Kiwanis Club of Jacksonville, this year’s event benefitted Jacksonville High School Girls Wrestling.
