H & H Goods includes locally produced items in the home decor store in South Jacksonville

Those who are looking for a personalized shopping experience with a touch of decor sourced from here in the area can find what they are looking for at H & H Goods in South Jacksonville.
Located at 1845 South Main Street, the shop is a cozy nest of a personalized assortment of home decor products. Owner Robbie Hocking says the store started in June 2024 and came from an idea he had as a young boy, “Back when I was a kid going shopping with my mom, it was always a lot of fun. I loved little stores like this one. I always thought it would be something that I wanted to do.”
The mission of the store is to promote convenience and an inspired experience for the shopper. Hocking says he strives to offer products that are not only affordable, but also serve a purpose in his customers’ lives either as a utility in the kitchen or dining room or provides special meaning and memories.
Hocking says he hand picks the items from wholesalers and local makers to bring to the store, “I go out and I am the one who does all the shopping for the store. I look at some of the things that I would like and also look at what similar stores carry and I kind of mix it all together and throw it in the store.”
Hocking hopes to add in more of his personal crafts in the future as well as continuing to add local craft goods. One of his more popular items are the personal signs that are hung in the store. “I got a few wholesalers I work with and then I have a lady who I use for my signs,” Hocking says, “She’s out of Williamsville, Illinois. She’s actually a native from Jacksonville, Kara Phillips. She makes us all the wooden signs that are painted and she hand paints them all. She and her husband also have beehives and they make honey, so we also carry their local honey in the store.” Hocking says another popular personalized item is the store’s zip code pillows.
H & H Goods also carries a number of preserves and a barbecue sauce line in the store. Hocking says he likes to go to stores that have a variety of products, so that’s why his store also has such a wide variety. He hopes the wide variety will have a little something for everyone.
H & H Goods is open Monday through Friday from 10 a.m.-5 p.m. and Saturday from 10 a.m.-2 p.m. Hocking says that shoppers should keep an eye on the shop’s Facebook page for new and featured items, as well as possible sales and special hours.
