Ingredients:
- 4 large baking potatoes
- 3 tablespoons olive oil
- 1 teaspoon salt
- 1/2 teaspoon black pepper
- 1/4 teaspoon onion powder
- 1/4 teaspoon garlic powder
- 1/8 teaspoon cayenne pepper
Directions:
- Preheat oven to 375 F.
- Prepare potatoes by thoroughly scrubbing them. Cut into sticks 1/2 inch thick and about 3 inches long.
- Let potatoes soak in cold water for at least 30 minutes. Meanwhile, in a separate bowl, mix the seasonings together and set aside.
- Remove potatoes from water, dry thoroughly; then place in a large bowl.
- Toss prepared potatoes with oil and seasonings. Spread evenly in a single layer on a parchment lined baking sheet.
- Bake for 20 minutes at 375 F, then increase oven temperature to 425 F and bake an additional 20-25 minutes, or until fries are golden and crispy.
- Remove from oven and serve immediately!
