Midwest Youth Services (MYS) presented their annual fundraiser, Doll-I-Day, in unprecedented style on Sunday, Feb. 19 in the ballroom at Hamilton’s.

The “A Day at the Derby”-themed event featured treats plus a hair and nails salon for the guests and their dolls. There was a photo booth and even a “doll hospital” for those needing a check-up.

The many games and crafts provided the opportunity for everyone to take something home. However, the big prize winners (left to right above), Hadley Gray, age 7; Eaden James, age 3; Evany Harney, age 4; Lillian Brown, age 9; Mila Owens, age 5; Charlie Hawking, age 9; and Elaina Barrientos, age 3, won American Girl dolls donated by the many sponsors of this long-standing community event.

The event, in its 12th year (two years were cancelled because of COVID-19 restrictions), is the primary fundraiser for MYS, a United Way agency dedicated to serving at-risk, runaway and homeless youth.
