The well-attended Fourth of July Parade kicked off on West State Street at 10 a.m. on Tuesday, July 4, and continued east to the downtown square in Jacksonville. The focus of this year’s parade was “Hope Unites Us,” intending to honor those whose words and actions lift us up and help us to feel connected to our community. The parade was sponsored by The Rotary Club of Jacksonville, that named Keith and Phyllis Lape as parade marshals.
