Jacksonville Area Convention & Visitors Bureau celebrates local innovation, community spirit
The Jacksonville Area Convention & Visitors Bureau is proud to announce the second class of honorees in its Morgan County Marvels program, which celebrates exceptional individuals and businesses whose work and passion make a positive impact in the community.
This new class of Marvels features four inspiring contributors whose creativity, craftsmanship and commitment help define the character and charm of Morgan County:
- Filippa Alfano, for Nonna Santina’s Pasta Sauce, a family recipe that has become a local staple, blending tradition, flavor, and love into every jar.
- Jessica Lynn, owner of One Knotty Maker, whose unique blend of macramé, dried floral and resin art, and keepsake breast milk jewelry offers deeply personal, handcrafted treasures.
- Khara Koffel and Megan Luckey, co-founders of Serious Lip Balm, a nationally recognized brand that started right here in Morgan County. Known for their fun, handmade lip balm in a variety of creative scents, the duo has built a loyal following while staying rooted in their mission to uplift and support the local community.
- Colleen Flinn, owner of Nothing Fancy Supply, whose handcrafted beeswax food wraps promote sustainability and style while supporting the movement toward eco-conscious living.
The Morgan County Marvels initiative was created to highlight the people, products, and landmark renovations that help make this region a special place to live and visit. From artisan goods and environmentally friendly innovations to transformative revitalization projects, these honorees represent the best of local entrepreneurship, creativity, and community dedication.
Brittany Henry, executive director of the Jacksonville Area Convention & Visitors Bureau, shared, “This second class of Morgan County Marvels showcases the incredible diversity of talent and passion found right here in our region. These individuals are not only creating amazing products, but they’re also strengthening the identity and vibrancy of Morgan County. We’re thrilled to recognize and share their stories.”
Marvels are selected on a rolling basis and featured across the CVB’s digital platforms, gaining exposure and recognition throughout the region and beyond.
Nominations are currently being accepted for the third round of Morgan County Marvels, which will be announced during our Business After Hours event on May 8. The nomination period will close on April 30.
