Morrison Ag Resources comes at insurance from a slightly different perspective than others

Let’s face it, agriculture is an important part of our society. There is a lot of pressure for the local farmer to succeed and they need all of the support they can get.
One Jacksonville business, Morrison Ag Resources, is ready to help. They are an insurance company that specializes in federal and private product crop insurance, grain marketing information, and government farm programs.
“Our background began in grain marketing so our approach to selling crop insurance is a little different than most agencies,” commented Judy Morrison, owner/agent.
Rich and Judy Morrison started their careers with CGB as grain merchandisers. When CGB started Diversified Services in 2000, the Morrisons were on board before Diversified became an Approved Insurance Provider (AIP). Diversified grew from a small insurance agency to one of the top four ranked AIPs in the crop insurance industry, reaching all over 40 states.
In 2021, Diversified was sold, and in order to service the local customers as an agency, Morrison Ag Resources LLC was established. They are licensed in all counties within the states of Illinois and Missouri.
“Crop insurance can be complicated, and we pride ourselves in learning about all the new programs and policies to keep our customers informed,” said Judy Morrison. “We believe grain marketing and crop insurance go hand in hand.”
Morrison Ag Resources encourages its customers to use their guaranteed yields from their crop insurance policy to help market their grain. The agency holds monthly meetings, provides marketing information daily and offers very personalized administrative assistance to all their customers.
Anyone involved in farming knows how stressful it can be. “Our goal is to provide our clients with expertise and knowledge to help alleviate some of that stress,” Morrison added. The business has over 80 years of combined experience in grain marketing and crop insurance.
“Federal Crop and Private Product Crop insurance is 100% of our business,” continued Morrison. “We are available to help you every day of the year.”
At Morrison Ag Resources, the goal is to provide the best information possible to customers. Education is very important to the agency, so in the near future they will be starting a ‘Young Producer Group.’ This will help bring the younger generation up to speed with grain marketing and crop insurance.
