Seven to be honored during Routt awards event:
Routt Catholic High School will honor seven members of the high school’s wide community of supporters during the 19th annual Winter Celebration and Awards Ceremony.
Those being honored include a beloved mathematics teacher, a long-time educator at Our Saviour School, several local business owners and two members of Routt’s alumni community.
“We frequently say, ‘We can’t do the work that we do at Routt, alone.’ It takes a community of like-minded families, alumni, coaches, parish members and local business leaders to support the faith-based education that students receive at Routt,” said Bre Linstromberg Copper, development director at Routt.
Those who will be honored at the Winter Celebration and Awards Ceremony are:
- Paul Herring – Marilyn Merris Distinguished Service Award. Herring is a member of the RCHS mathematics department and has been an educator in the Jacksonville area for more than 30 years.
- Megan (Langdon ’97) McGuire – Routt Alumni Citation Award
- Celeste Morrow – Catholic Education Distinguished Service Award. Morrow is a faculty member at Our Saviour School, where she has been an educator for 33 years.
- Jeff Mossman, State Farm – Business Friend of Routt Catholic High School
- Rita (Flynn ’83) Rossi – Routt Alumnus of the Year
- Ryan Turner – Friend of Routt Catholic High School
- Jamie Wisdom – Routt Catholic Ambassador Award
The Winter Celebration and Awards Ceremony will be held from 6-11 p.m. Saturday, Feb. 24 at Hamilton’s in Jacksonville.
