Hello Pike County and welcome to The Source Newspaper. We are a Jacksonville based publication which is dedicated to local upbeat journalism seeking to include Pike County into our realm of coverage. Some of you may know my work, but most of you probably do not.
I am a Pike County native with ties to Scott and Greene counties, and a recent graduate from Southern Illinois University Edwardsville’s Department of Mass Communication. I’ve spent a year working in the newspaper industry and have had a combination of articles and photographs published in all three publications located within Pike County.
My passion is providing local journalism to local people and I hope that I can serve you, our readers, with the happenings of west-central Illinois. We live in a great place with a lot of potential and our shared counties have one thing in common. We have a true sense of community which keeps the small town way of life alive.
Together I hope we can keep our local traditions alive and show why west-central Illinois is a great place to live.
