Bahan’s annual Turkey Bowl

Seemingly, the tradition for the non-professional bowler to physically lean in order to somehow sway the direction of the bowling ball carries over into turkey bowling, as this bowler and one of her supporters slanted themselves in hopes of tipping the turkey’s direction.

The frozen, duct-taped nine-pound turkeys were thrown with vim and verve this past weekend at Bahan’s Tavern to raise money for Protecting Animal Welfare Society, Inc. (P.A.W.S.) of Jacksonville, Ill.
