Celebrate the season with this classic, well-loved holiday cookie!

Yields: 4 dozen
Ingredients:
- 1 cup unsweetened cocoa powder
- 1 1/2 cups granulated sugar
- 1/2 cup vegetable oil
- 4 eggs
- 2 teaspoons vanilla
- 2 teaspoons baking powder
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- 1 cup powdered sugar
Directions:
- In a large mixing bowl, combine the cocoa powder, granulated sugar and oil; beat together until mixture is shiny.
- Add the eggs one a time, beating 30 seconds after each addition; add vanilla and beat thoroughly.
- In a separate bowl, whisk together the flour, baking powder and salt.
- Beat the dry ingredients into the cocoa mixture.
- Cover and place in the refrigerator for four hours, or overnight.
- Preheat oven to 350 degrees and line two baking sheets with parchment paper; place powdered sugar in a bowl.
- Remove cookie dough from fridge and roll into 1-inch balls.
- Roll balls in powdered sugar and place on prepared baking sheet a few inches apart.
- Bake 10 to 13 minutes; remove from oven and allow to cool a couple of minutes before transferring to a wire rack.
- Once cooled, store in an airtight container.
