Crimson Pride Auction

When the Crimson Pride auction started it was a small event at the Elks club in Jacksonville, over the years it has turned into one of the main events in Crimson football prior to the first kickoff of the football season. The Crimson football team works long hours in the off season to give the community of Jacksonville something to be proud of and something to support, it is now time to give them a hand by supporting them through the Crimson Pride auction. Following the last season, the Crimsons are looking forward to building and progressing, with the hope of giving coach Mark Grounds his 100th win, making him the first coach in modern history of the program to do so.

The team has an enormous sense of pride and the hope to continue a winning tradition spearheaded by coach Grounds. This season is one to keep your eye on, the football team has been working tirelessly four to five days a week since November, an earlier start than most recent seasons, hoping to get a jump on what looks to be a successful season. The JHS Crimson Pride organization is holding their annual dinner and auction fundraising banquet Saturday, March 3rd, 2018 at Hamilton’s banquet hall in Jacksonville located at 110 North East St. The proceeds raised from this banquet will go directly back to the Crimson Football program. Money that is raised will be used to help the football team with equipment, travel, meal expenses, and player camps. Tickets for the auction will get you food provided by Hamilton’s catering and an opportunity to bid on various items that will be provided by local businesses and boosters from the surrounding area. The organization encourages local businesses to donate items to this auction, note that your donation may be tax deductible as the organization is a nonprofit in good standing. Items in the past have included an autographed Yadier Molina jersey, Cardinals-Cubs tickets, clothing items, package gifts and coupons. There is an assortment of sports memorabilia, framed pieces, as well as items you’ll just have to see for yourself. Happy hour for the event will begin at 5 p.m. with the dinner beginning at 6 p.m., the auction follows dinner at 7 p.m. concluding after.
