Cruise Nite lands back on Morton

Cruise Nite 2014’s Car Show had the sun shining on both the classic cars on display and also the attendants. Joel Buchanan, who headed up the 30th Anniversary of Cruise Nite for the Jacksonville Cruise Nite Association, said that there were 183 registrants, but estimates that 220 or 230 registrants actually showed up for the car show. Sprinkles came only in between the 9am -3pm “Car Show” and the 5pm – 9pm “Cruise,” but held off for the cruisers back on Morton. “The weather cooperated for the most part. Even with that looming possibility, the attendants came out. There were plenty of people lining Morton to watch the Cruise and everyone seemed to really enjoy the live band at our headquarters at Hardee’s. We feel pretty good and positive about all the changes we made,” said Buchanan of the event.
