One of the largest cruise events in Illinois, Jacksonville’s fall Car Show and Cruise Nite, is happening on September 16. The Car Show will be from 9 a.m. – 3 p.m. in Community Park. The event includes music, lots of vendors, a swap meet area, kids games, food vendors and it is FREE to attend. Jacksonville Cruise Nite Association always tries to involve local vehicles and this year that includes Joe and Rovella Kaspyrzack’s yellow ‘32 Ford Milner Coupe and a blue Corvette Stingray owned by Woody and Pam Logan.
Cruise Nite follows the Car Show from 5-9 p.m. The Cruise Nite is headquartered at Hardee’s with parking available for those who wish to cruise Morton. Vehicles of all types will cruise up and down Morton, centered between the cross streets of Main and Lincoln.
Spectators are welcome to find an open viewing area along Morton and come watch and cheer on your favorite vehicles.
T-shirts will be available at both event locations and can be purchased in advance at NAPA Auto Parts, 620 E. Morton or Tom Finch Automotive, 1025 W. Walnut St. Prices are $15 for sizes small to extra-large and $18 for sizes 2X or 3X.
No fee or registration required to participate. The event is open to any and all years, makes and models of vehicles. For more information visit the “Jacksonville Cruise Nite Association” Facebook page or call Joel Buchanan at 217-473-1122.
