Entering the lobby and taking a seat, a smiling woman approached, communicating a “Hello. May I help you?” to me. Thank you, I replied. Then, she handed me something and said, “Today is FUNtastic Friday. Let us know if you’re a winner.” It was a scratch-off in my hand. (I did not win, mind you.) Apparently, a couple came in that morning, trying to combine their two losing scratch-offs into a single winner, laughed Jacksonville Savings Bank Senior Vice President Laura Marks. Marks noted that there had been some winners already that Friday morning. Another part of the Funtastic Fridays leading up to the celebration of the bank’s 100th year is an alarm clock that goes off inside the W. Morton office every 100 minutes; anyone at a teller when the alarm bings receives a surprise.
