Grilling for those with courage

Local AMBUCS group treats campers

The Jacksonville AMBUCS made their annual donation of steaks to Camp Courage recently. Several AMBUCS members were on-site at Western Illinois Youth Camp on Wednesday, July 23 to personally grill steaks and hot dogs for the campers, staff and volunteers at Camp Courage.

After lunching together, Jacksonville AMBUCS presented a check to Camp Courage. Camp Courage Vice President and volunteer John Hunter thanked AMBUCS for the meal and donation before joking with the dining hall full of campers that they might want bologna sandwiches next year instead of steaks. The campers laughed and told AMBUCS they will stick with the steaks, please.
