Homemade Oven Fries

Ingredients:

  • 4 large baking potatoes
  • 3 tablespoons olive oil
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 1/2 teaspoon black pepper
  • 1/4 teaspoon onion powder
  • 1/4 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1/8 teaspoon cayenne pepper

Directions:

  1. Preheat oven to 375 F.
  2. Prepare potatoes by thoroughly scrubbing them. Cut into sticks 1/2 inch thick and about 3 inches long.
  3. Let potatoes soak in cold water for at least 30 minutes. Meanwhile, in a separate bowl, mix the seasonings together and set aside.
  4. Remove potatoes from water, dry thoroughly; then place in a large bowl.
  5. Toss prepared potatoes with oil and seasonings. Spread evenly in a single layer on a parchment lined baking sheet.
  6. Bake for 20 minutes at 375 F, then increase oven temperature to 425 F and bake an additional 20-25 minutes, or until fries are golden and crispy.
  7. Remove from oven and serve immediately!
