Elks host kids’ fishing day at Nichols Park

The Jacksonville Elks Lodge #682 held their 11th annual Kids Fishing Tournament at Morgan Lake in Nichols Park on Saturday, August 2.
The Elks reported 22 children participated in the event that ran from 10:30 a.m. to noon. Prizes were given away to the top fishermen in two age groups. Prizes for the longest fish were given away to one boy and one girl. The Elks also served up hot dogs and drinks on a picturesque day on the lake. Six Elks members provided help measuring and tallying fish for the event.
