The Ware Family Track at Illinois College’s England Stadium has undergone undergoing quite a facelift.
To follow is some logistical information about the current resurfacing of the Ware Family Track:
• The track was last redone in 2007.
• The asphalt and underlayers of the track are still in great condition.
• The current project includes filling cracks, adding a 2mm leveling layer (which is the black substance shown in pictures) and then adding a 5mm urethane track surface.
• The new surface will help to reduce injury as it creates a better force absorption rate for our student-athletes and ensures the longevity of the asphalt foundation.
The resurfacing work of the Ware Family Track is now complete.
