Jacksonville Night is back!

Jacksonville Night is back!

By Shelley Singleton

Bigger and better than ever before!

Jacksonville Night at Busch Stadium is back! This year, our 5th annual event falls on a Thursday night, July 22, at 6:15 p.m. – so we reap the benefits of a great price of only $40 per ticket for a Cardinal vs. Cubs game.

These tickets are grouped in Right Field Box seats in sections 128 through 131 – the Jacksonville corner!

Fortunate to have planned our game after the COVID-19 pandemic restrictions have been lifted, our game will be at 100% capacity and there will be no mask requirements at Busch Stadium. There are no restrictions of ticket purchases, so order your group tickets soon.

Tickets can be purchased online at https://jaxnight.square.site (all tickets are $42 each online), or in person at Prairie State Bank on West Morton Avenue. All details of the event can be found on this site, as well.

Scotty DeWolf will be throwing out the “First Pitch” this year after COVID-19 restrictions prohibited him from doing so in 2020. DeWolf is currently restoring two Jacksonville landmarks in the historic district, the former Ayers Mansion and the Congregational Church. He loves the Jacksonville community and believes in its future.

The Jacksonville High School (JHS) Choir will be performing “God Bless America” at the beginning of the game on the field under the conduction of JHS Choir Director Jacob Smetters. They will be located directly in front of the Jacksonville Night section of seats and projected onto the JUMBOTRON.

All the proceeds from Jacksonville Night will go to the Jacksonville Tree Project. The project is a citywide beautification initiative focused on restoring Jacksonville’s tree canopy. For more information, visit www.jaxtrees.org.
