The Jacksonville Middle School Cheerleaders wrapped up their 2024-2025 season recently at IESA State in Peoria. They placed second in the 2A routine division and third in the Game Day division.
On January 12, the team competed at the ICCA State Championships where they placed first in the Large Routine Division and first in the Large Game Day Division.
The team consists of eighth graders Edith Bryson-Adams, Chloe Colen, Madalyn DeFrates, Madilynn Doerr, Elizabeth Guidish, Macee James and Mattisyn Weikert. The seventh graders are Lydia Baptist, Violet Brockhouse, Kinsli Dobson, Hilary English, Marley McGuire, Layla Prather and Ellie Scott. Sixth graders include Halle Armstrong, Jayden Batty, Addie Hudson, Miley Klendworth, Sandra Laux, Kaylie McElroy, Breezy Sorrell and Hadley Walker.
The JMS Cheerleaders are coached by Emily Hudson.
