  • People rush past at the entry barrier is moved.

Jacksonville School District 117 Superintendent Steve Ptacek put an announcement on Facebook that furniture remaining from the Jacksonville Middle School Renovation no longer needed by the district would be available at no cost to the public Wednesday, March 28 starting at 4:30 pm on the JMS parking lot. Items included old desks, chairs, tables, and more. And the trailers for storage space needed to be emptied so they could house items during the South project. Items were on first come first serve basis, and had to be hauled off immediately. So a crowd was ready to go when the barriers were removed.
