Jones Meat & Locker was honored with the Governor’s Sale of Champions at the Illinois State Fair on Thursday, August 17.
The family-run business in Jacksonville also received the 2023 Illinois State Fair Grand Champion award for their beef jerky, and it sold for $1,700. The proceeds from the sale go to support a scholarship for meat science students at the University of Illinois.
