It’s a large batch. Take 14 actors, 1 director, 2 Lincoln Land vans, 1 equipment truck, 255 miles and 16 schools, then add approximately 4,800 elementary school students in the audience, and you’ll have the recipe for a great deal of fun as the Lincoln Land Community College (LLCC) Traveling Theatre troupe hits the road with its annual children’s theatre production, this year entitled, “The Tale of Hannah Banana.”
The group of actors under the direction of LLCC instructor Ken Bradbury presented their half-hour musical in four locations each day for four days, bringing their tale of how to choose what’s really important in life. The verdict: People!
This year’s show featured square dancing, a rodeo, singing and a variety of characters from the Old West. Next spring they will be presenting, “Shelebrate!” a celebration of the works of Shel Silverstein at the Playhouse on the Square in Jacksonville.
The cast in this year’s show included: Marcus Blair, Katia Janes, Abby Link, Bailey Littleton, Alexis Lucas, Kyler Miller, Brenan Pool, Kamryn Portwood, Courtney Privia, Lane Rahe, Kira Sayre, Rachel Skillett, Matt Thurman and Hannah Werries.
