Local dancers win in Springfield

Talent show nets first and second place finishes for local girls

Solo and group dancers competed recently at the Illinois Association of Agricultural Fairs 113th Annual Convention State Talent Show in Springfield.

Jaycee Bates, of Jacksonville, dancing for Sara’s School of Dance and representing Sangamon County, won first place for her contemporary dance solo in the Junior Division.

California Girls from the Legacy Dance Studio pose together after winning second place for their performance.

The Legacy Studio California Girls represented Morgan County. They are Jayden Batty, Eady Brickey, Paislee and Parker Geer, Aubrey Kunzeman, Maddy Klendworth, Malaina VanMeter and Hadley Gray.
