The McDaniel-Simmons Youth Scholarship, in memory of Casey McDaniel and Robert Simmons, awarded Special Education Teacher Emily Heitbrink $1,000, which she used to purchase flexible seating for her classroom.
The Camp Casey Scholarship started by The Land of Lincoln Whitetails/Chapter of Whitetails Unlimited and The Robert Simmons Foundation consolidated its efforts in 2017. Robert and Casey were childhood friends and it was a natural fit for the two funds to combine.
