Michael Schneider name new Quality Improvement Coordinator at Pathway Services


Pathway Services Unlimited, has selected Michael Schneider to serve as the Quality Improvement Coordinator.

“We’re excited to welcome Mike to the Pathway team,” said Maryjane Million, Executive Director at Pathway. “Mike brings a wealth of knowledge and experience from his many years in health care and nursing home administration in Jacksonville and the surrounding area.”

Schneider most recently served as Administrator at Heritage Health/Barton Stone in Jacksonville. Prior to that, he was the Administrator at Modern Care in Jacksonville and Pittsfield Manor in Pittsfield.

He has also worked on the finance side of hospital management as a business office manager, accounting manager, and the Chief Financial Officer at Illini Community Hospital. He earned a bachelor of science degree in accounting at Quincy University.

Schneider is an active community volunteer who served on the Illini Community Hospital Board of Directors. Since moving to Jacksonville, he has been active in the Jacksonville Rotary Club having held several leadership roles including club president. He has also been active in the Jacksonville Area Chamber of Commerce and served as the Chamber’s board president and was named the Chamber of Commerce Boss of the Year in 2009. Notably, Schneider has been on the Board for Pathway Services having served as their board president.

For the last 10 years Schneider has performed in plays in Jacksonville, Springfield, and at the Theatre in the Park at Lincoln’s New Salem. Mike and his wife Pat make their home in Jacksonville with their dog, Murphy.

Founded in 1964, Pathway provides adult day program services, vocational services, home-based support services and community living services to more than 200 individuals with developmental disabilities in five counties in West Central Illinois.
