Murder in Franklin

By Eric Thomas

Searching for a way to raise some cold hard cash to support your future endeavors? Some local high schoolers are hoping murder is the answer!

The junior class at Franklin High School (FHS), led by class president Madden Delaney, is planning a party and you are invited. In fact, one of you will be the victim. If you are feeling lucky, you like to have fun and want to support the class of 2021, hurry and get your tickets before time runs out.

This party is a dinner and a show, combined with an episode of “Forensic Files.” The biggest difference is that you, the guests, serve as the actors in this “who done it.” As each person shows up, he or she will either be a character or an investigator. There is a list of motives, a list of alibis, and people are pointing blame at anyone but themselves. The murder mystery will be solved by the end of the night by all the guests working to put the clues together.

“Murder in Manhattan” is set in a high-class New York cocktail party. Appetizers and a spaghetti dinner will be served. A vegan and vegetarian option will be available. Deadline to purchase tickets for this Saturday, December 14 event is Monday, December 2. No reservations will be taken after this date and no tickets will be sold at the door. The event starts at 5:45 p.m. on the night of December 14. Ticket prices are $20 for one or $30 for couples. You can reserve your chance to be murdered by notifying Mrs. Willhite at cwillhite@franklinhigh.com. Help FHS Class of 2021 achieve their goals.
