An event on Friday, July 10, focuses on art, jewelry and fashion. Local artist Allison Pratt, owner of A. Pratt Gallery & Studio, invites the public to the Art | Jewelry | Fashion Experience, which will be held at her gallery at 206 E. State in Jacksonville from 4:30 p.m. to 7 p.m. Pratt will have her own paintings on display, as well as the works of fellow artists Dawn Wonder and Toni Long. Pratt believes that, “Art…makes our world a more colorful and beautiful place.” Joining Pratt is Dawn Wonder, who has been showcased in Jacksonville before. Wonder returns with her handcrafted jewelry that showcases “the beauty of a myriad of natural stones, crystals and met elements I use in my designs,” she says. “Each stone…is infused with the natural forces of nature.” Toni Long covers the “fashion” component of the event. Long has been an Interior Designer for 50 years and laughs, “I am flunking retirement.” Long has used her knowledge of clothing and textiles to design kimono-style jackets. A dozen garments have been created and sewn by hand, embellished with painting, torn silk, beads, feathers and chains. Art of many kinds will be ready to be experienced at the A. Pratt Gallery & Studio on Friday, July 10, from 4:30 p.m. to 7 p.m. The gallery is located at 206 E. State.
