Old School Museum hosts “Sherlock Holmes and the Mystery Story”

The Old School Museum will be hosting an educational course, “Sherlock Holmes and the Mystery Story,” presented by Robert Seufert, professor emeritus of literature at MacMurray College. The course will discuss the writings of Sir Arthur Conan Doyle and his beloved creation, including such stories as “A Scandal in Bohemia,” “The Red-Headed League,” “The Adventure of the Speckled Band,” “The Final Problem,” “The Adventure of the Empty House,” and the novel, “The Hound of the Baskervilles.” Robert Seufert has taught courses on Sherlock Holmes at MacMurray College and is a five-time winner of the Sherlockian of the Year Award at the Sherlock Holmes society in Springfield, Ill. He has also created and performed one-man shows about Sherlock Holmes and his grand adventures. The course will be held every Wednesday, from 7 to 8:30 p.m., starting on April 20 and ending on June 8, 2016.
