Outbreak Designs directly helping other small businesses

During these times of uncertainty, the economy, as a whole, has taken a big hit as businesses have been forced to scale back or temporarily shut down. This can be seen nationally it is most apparent locally.

One local small businessman is taking what he does on a daily basis and trying to help those that have been hit hard during this COVID-19 crisis.

Rick Rolson, owner and chief designer for Outbreak Designs Screen Printing, a Jacksonville based company, is hoping to give back to local businesses undergoing financial struggles. You, however, are the missing link.

“We have designed a special shirt with the theme, ‘We’re All in This Together; Eat, Drink and Shop Local.’ The shirts feature an outline of the state of Illinois with a Ferris wheel, the iconic symbol for Jacksonville, marking our location,” tells Rolson. When a customer purchases a shirt, half of the purchase price is given to the business they nominate.

Each t-shirt costs $20. After the customer nominates a business to honor, Outbreak Designs will send a check for $10 to that business as a thank you for all that they do in the community. The name of the person sending this money will appear in the memo section of the check. The more shirts that are purchased in honor of a particular business, the more money they will be sent.

“We’re All in This Together” campaign started on Saturday, March 28. There are four colors available in ladies, unisex, and youth shirts. Each category has a variety of sizes. Customers may order their shirt and do their part to help those small businesses that have been blindsided by this pandemic by going to Outbreak Designs website, www.outbreakdesigns.com or by finding the link on their Facebook page. “We are here to HELP, but we need you to HELP us HELP them,” concluded Rolson.

At the writing of this article, 30+ shirts have been purchased and these businesses will receive $10 per shirt purchased in their name:
