Kevin Eckhoff, Jodee Nell challenge us to ‘Just Imagine’
Prairieland United Way 2024 campaign will get underway with a Chamber Business After Hours and Campaign Kickoff at 4:30 p.m. on Thursday, August 29 at The Plaza in downtown Jacksonville.
Business leaders and United Way employee campaign coordinators are encouraged to attend. The Business After Hours and campaign kickoff will be sponsored by CNB Bank & Trust and Jacksonville Memorial Hospital.
The 2024 United Way Campaign theme is “JUST IMAGINE” and the fundraising goal is $470,000. Prairieland United Way helps local people by raising and distributing funds for health, education and employment-related service programs in Morgan, Scott, Cass and northern Greene counties.
The campaign leadership team consists of the board president, campaign co-chairs and the executive director. President of the United Way board this year is Trevor Huffman, CEO of Jacksonville Memorial Hospital. Huffman joined the board in 2019.
The Prairieland United Way Board is proud to introduce Jodee Nell and Kevin Eckhoff as the 2024 Campaign Co-Chairs.
Jodee Nell was born and raised in Jacksonville. She holds a Bachelor of Science in business/marketing from Eastern Illinois University. Throughout her career, she has been deeply involved in community service and leadership roles. Nell is the market president of CNB Bank and Trust in Jacksonville.
Her community activities include being a Paul Harris Fellow recipient from the Jacksonville Rotary Club and serving as the former president of the Prairieland United Way Board of Directors. She also held the position of Chairman of the Board of Directors for the Jacksonville Regional Economic Development Corporation and currently serves on its executive committee. Additionally, she is the Vice Chairman of the Board for the Tri-County Community Development Corporation.
In the past, she contributed her expertise as a board member for the Jacksonville Area Chamber of Commerce. Her dedication to community development and economic growth is evident in her ongoing commitments and leadership roles.
Outside of her professional endeavors, she cherishes her role as a wife to Brad and mother to two children, Tobin and Hailey.
For the past 39 years, Kevin Eckhoff has served as a communications consultant for Memorial Health. He is a graduate of the University of Illinois-Springfield.
Active in the community, Eckhoff serves as congregational chairman of Salem Lutheran Church, board president for the Jacksonville Area Visitors & Convention Bureau, trustee for the Jacksonville Public Library and board member for Jubilee Habitat for Humanity. He recently completed nine years on the Pathway Services board of directors, serving as vice president, president and past president.
Eckhoff is a longtime supporter of the Prairieland United Way, including serving the last six years on the allocation panels.
Eckhoff and his fiancée, Michelle
McNeely, reside in Jacksonville.
