The Jacksonville Serial Tipper’s Random Act of Kindness #23 topped the charts for amazing things done by the Jacksonville RAK group. The effort was to bring a little brightness to those living in long-term care facilities in our community over the Valentine’s Day Weekend. The Facebook group raised money to gift these 500 citizens with:
A flower from All Occasions Flowers and Gifts, a donut from SafeCo Bakery, a lip balm from Serious Lip Balm, extra-large crossword puzzles from The Source Newspaper, pens to complete the puzzles from The Farmers State Bank and Trust Company. Additionally, Kellon Oldenettal donated 500 pairs of socks from Kellon’s Sock Drawer and children from all over the community wrote valentines to share in each gift bag. All remaining money was donated amongst seven facilities for use by their activity department.
