A ladder truck is used by the Jacksonville Fire Department to raise an oversized American flag the morning of August 23. The flag was displayed while participants of R.E.D. Ride of Central Illinois drove motorcycles and JEEPS through downtown Jacksonville as part of the trek for the fundraiser that day.
The R.E.D. Ride of Central Illinois is a nonprofit organization founded in 2019 to send packages to deployed soldiers overseas, boosting their morale with essential items and home luxuries.
