Sarah Beth May is the queen of this year’s 2023 Beaux Arts Ball, “Beauty Grace & Elegance.” She is the daughter of Greg and Elizabeth May of Jacksonville and the granddaughter of Terry and Mary Beth Airsman, and Curry May and Linda May, all of Jacksonville.
Sarah Beth May is a 2019 graduate of Jacksonville High School and will graduate from the University of Missouri in May with a Bachelor of Science degree in marketing, with an emphasis in entrepreneurship and a minor in fashion.
While at Mizzou, May has been very involved her sorority, Delta Delta Delta. During her sophomore and junior years, she served as marketing assistant for the sorority and served as the sorority’s apparel chair. Throughout her college years, May has been active in fundraising for St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital.
During the summer prior to her junior year, she worked as a brand partnerships intern with the startup company “Shopflix” in Chicago. May is currently working at Cushman & Wakefield, commercial real estate developers, where she is an intern in transaction and quality control.
May is a member of the First Presbyterian Church in Jacksonville.
She participated in three previous Beaux Arts Balls. She was a flower girl in 2007’s “Golden Gala,” a junior attendant in 2015’s “Lasting Legacy” and a senior maid in “A Night with the Royals” in 2019.
May’s parents are sustaining members of The Art Association of Jacksonville. Her mother is currently serving on the association’s board of directors and was co-chairman of the 2019 Beaux Arts Ball, “A Night with the Royals.”
Following graduation, Sarah Beth May plans to continue her work in marketing and commercial real estate.
