Eight young women are preparing to participate in the 2017 Beaux Arts Ball, “Pop Revolution: Revive the Movement,” on Saturday, April 29, as senior maids. The 60th annual fundraiser for The Art Association of Jacksonville is a derivative of the traditional debutante ball at which young ladies are formally presented to society. This year’s senior maids will perform a full bow to the floor after being presented by their fathers or grandfathers.

Patron and general tickets will be available at The JHS Bowl prior to the Beaux Arts Ball on Saturday, April 29, where the coronation will begin at 7 p.m. – 45 minutes earlier than in prior years. The traditional reception for participants will be held immediately following the coronation at The David Strawn Art Gallery, with dancing until midnight at the Jacksonville Country Club. Patron tickets are $40 and include admission to the coronation, reception and dance, while general tickets are $10 and include the coronation and reception.
