More than two decades have gone by but our pride in first responders isn’t going anywhere

A remembrance service was held in downtown Jacksonville on Wednesday, September 11 to look back on the 2,997 people killed in the deadliest terrorist attack in history. Of that 2,997, 343 firefighters and 72 law enforcement personnel lost their lives. The Sept. 11, 2011 attack will forever be remembered.
Emergency personnel, City of Jacksonville employees and members of the community were present for the recent remembrance service. The ceremony included heartfelt words as well as prayers.
