Soccer tactics

At a Jacksonville High School (JHS) boys’ varsity soccer game earlier this season, one young kiddo started his own game on the sidelines of the JHS soccer field. Meet Isaac McCombs, the son of Mike and Michelle McCombs. Young Isaac was having the best time covering his eyes (assumedly so he became “invisible”) and approaching the area where Mayor Andy Ezard was seated. Isaac was giggling the whole time, mind you. The plan was for Isaac to say, “Hi, Mr. Andy,” in order to distract the mayor so that Isaac could sneak up and grab the spare soccer ball beside him. Something of a one-man decoy run.
