Recent severe weather that began the morning of Thursday, June 29 in Central Illinois was the cause of structural damage, uprooted trees, broken tree limbs and more throughout area communities.
Many were left without power for multiple days; some continued to be without at the start of the following week in spite of round-the-clock efforts by power crews.
