The Detroit Doors finish off Main Street concert series

A huge crowd was on the square for the final concert on Friday, August 1 in the Jacksonville Main Street Downtown Concert Series.
Folks went downtown and had themselves a real good time. The roadhouse blues of The Detroit Doors was infectious, fun and rockin.’
Lead singer Mike “Chizzy” Chisholm whipped the crowd into a frenzy, danced on a picnic table and got some help dancing with a few members of the crowd on what was one of the most beautiful nights of the series.
After enduring weeks in the heat, Jacksonville got real cool as everyone took a trip to the Morrison Hotel with this Michigan-based Doors tribute band.
If the kids weren’t into the music, they sure got down with playing cornhole or blowing bubbles courtesy of the folks at Foam and Flight. It was a gorgeous and exciting way to wrap up the 2025 concert series.
