To The Editor, From The Pilot Club of Jacksonville

To The Editor,

The Pilot Club of Jacksonville extends a thank you to everyone who helped make the 32nd annual Holiday Home Tour a success.

Thank you to the families who so graciously opened their homes: Dick and Donna Cody, Brad and Sarah Cors, Tom and Sherry Hopkin, Larry and Becky Werries and the Governor Duncan Mansion.

We are indebted to the Jacksonville Journal Courier, The Source, WEAI/WLDS and WJIL/WJVO and the Jacksonville Area Convention and Visitors Bureau for publicity. Production Express for printing of the tickets, County Market and Family Gardens for being ticket sales outlets, to Pilot husband Marty Austin for taking all the photos of the homes for the tickets and to Knollwood Retirement Village for allowing us to have the Tea in their beautiful facility. We had In Kind Donations from All Occasions Flowers, Ashley’s Petals and Angels, and David Large Painting.

A special thanks to the Corporate Sponsors: Aire Serv Heating & Air Conditioning, Robert Bonjean Law Office, the Honorable C. D. Davidsmeyer, Farmers State Bank, Hamilton Catering, Hertzberg New Method Book Bindery, Jacksonville Lawn Care, Jacksonville Savings Bank, Ronald R. Lynch DMD, McDonalds Family Restaurant, Passavant Area Hospital, Precious Jewelers, Premier Bank, Westown Ford Jacksonville and an Anonymous Donor. Also, thank you to James and JaNell Lyle of Faith Printing for printing the place mats. Those advertisers were: Times Square, Ryan McGuire of Langdon Insurance Agency, Worrell Land Service, West Morton Express Cleaners and Laundromat, Precious Jewelers, Patrick L. VanDeVelde of Peak Insurance Agency, Inc., Linda A. Meece, C.P.A., Sara’s Studio of Dance, Our Town Book Store, Prairie State Bank and Trust, Western Illinois Youth Camp, Caron Yates of The Real Estate Group and Leo’s Pizza.

We are grateful to Pilot husband Kenny Wallbaum, who put out all the signage and then picked them back up, Greg Yates who assisted with selling cheese balls at Knollwood Retirement Center, Kiwanis member Dorothy Brooks, who worked at the Tea, Kiwanians Phil Langdon, Brad Probst and Konnie Trace who worked in the homes. Those who assisted at the Tea were Pilot friend Lou Estabrook, Mariah Park and Jacee Wallis from Westfair Academy and Maddie Allen from J.H.S.

Last, but certainly not least, we want to thank Jacksonville and the surrounding communities for supporting our club with the purchase of tickets. All money earned stays here in our community to fund our various projects. We are very appreciative of the support you have given us the last thirty two years.

Year after year, we hear people say the Holiday Season starts with our Home Tour. To you, we say thank you and we hope you will join us December 4, 2016.

Merry Christmas and Happy New Year.

Caron Yates,

Chairman, Holiday Home Tour
