What can she do?

What can she do?

When one is losing her best friend and mate, What can she do?

He is trying to be strong, She prays for strength to get her through.

She tells him how much she loves him,

And because of him, you are a stronger you.

She wants him to be happy, so she must be happy, too.

She sings the songs that makes him smile, And talks about things that make him blue.

She tries to keep his spirits high, Visits with friends, old and new.

She brings back memories, joy and tears, Taking hours, the pictures to go through.

She sits by his bed and holds his hand, She knows his hours are few.

You both need comfort, You hold him close to you.

She reads psalms and prays for peace, She hears his faint voice, he’s praying, too.

And when the Lord does come to take him home, she knows she’s done all she could do.
