Rotary Club of Jacksonville hosts 13th annual event at Morgan County Fairgrounds

The Rotary Club of Jacksonville held its 13th annual Oktoberfest on Saturday, Sept. 21 from noon-7 p.m. at the Morgan County Fairgrounds.
Kicking off with a tradition “Willkommen,” or welcome, ceremony and tapping of the kegs, the day continued on to be filled with entertainment. There was live music, food, games and other activities that included a bags tournament, a keg toss contest, stein endurance contest, dachshund dash and pet parade.
The event also offered home brew beer tastings from local brewers plus a variety of German beers were available. Traditional German foods were served as well.
