100 years of Austin Pipe Organ celebrated

Central Christian Church celebrates centennial anniversary of pipe organ: Central Christian Church, located at 359 W. College Ave. in Jacksonville, is celebrating the 100th anniversary of the installation of its Austin Pipe Organ with a concert.
On November 19 at 7 p.m., Central Christian will host a Centennial Celebration Concert featuring guest musicians to commemorate this milestone. After the concert, there will be refreshments and an opportunity to view historical documents from the original organ purchased in 1922.
Admission is free and freewill donations will be accepted. All donations will benefit the Choral Scholars Program, which provides scholarships to area high school and college students. All are encouraged to attend.
