The YMCA held a four-week Junior Baseball Clinic on Wednesday evenings from July 1 through July 22. The clinic, held at 6 p.m., was extended until August 5 due to rainouts. YMCA Sports Director Payton Dugan along with his assistants, helped to teach 21 children, ages 4-6 years old, the basics of baseball.
(Above) Phoenix Schofield is learning how to field a ground ball then throw it to another child. The other children are waiting in line to practice the same skill. After these and a few other field skills, the children switched with another group and each practiced being on a base and hitting a ball off a tee.
