A very talented group of ladies from the Senior Center sewing group have been busy making adult bibs and covers for the local nursing homes.
Since Christmas they have made approximately 45 to distribute. This has been an on-going project of theirs that they are very proud of, serving Morgan, Cass and Green Counties.
These unique items are double lined to accommodate spills and protect clothing and are easy to get on and off clients. The sewing group meets every Tuesdays from 9-11 a.m. at the Community Center.
The Senior Center is open to new members as well as those willing to put in their time and talent to sew for the sewing group.
Donations from the community of fabric, and lightly worn or outgrown shirts (for men and women) are greatly appreciated and are accepted Tuesdays-Thursdays 9 a.m.-4 p.m. at the Community Park Center, 1309 S. Main St., Jacksonville.
