The 32nd annual St. Patrick’s Day Parade took place on Saturday, March 19. Originally scheduled for Saturday, March 12, it had been delayed a week in hopes of winning the battle against Mother Nature. Though not a clear win, the weather on March 19 triumphed over the weekend prior.
The parade began at the intersection of Clay Avenue and East State Street, then traveled westward on State Street to the square downtown, making its way around the square until it hit the north side of the square and went on Morgan Street, finally ending at Don’s Place.
Three top prizes for best float were awarded, along with prizes for the best bike and tractor. The parade was put on my WJVO, Don’s Place and Guinness Draft. WJVO shared winners: Adam Haas Plumbing (first place), My Buddy’s BBQ (second place) and Reynold’s Consumer Products
