Witches Night Out’ a success in Brown County

Action Brown County, a nonprofit organization that  works to promote the community and develop the economy throughout the Brown County, held a “Witches Night Out” event on Friday, Oct. 7 from 5-9 p.m. The event was a spinoff of “ladies night out” events, which typically promote groups of women getting out together, by adding Halloween flair to the area event.

Multiple businesses in Mt. Sterling participated in the Witches Night Out. Witch hats and costumes were strongly encouraged for all.

There was a Coach purse raffle, from which a portion of the proceeds are being donated to the Brown County Food Basket. The evening also advertised a “Best witch or warlock costume contest” and a scavenger hunt for 13 vintage black cat silhouettes that were hidden within various participating businesses. The evening was festively spooky sweet and filled with shopping, fun and friends.
