In addition to the big football game with Lake Forest College, the week also featured sports action from men’s and women’s soccer, women’s volleyball, women’s tennis, and men’s and women’s cross country teams. Illinois College welcomed back alumni with 50th class reunions (for 1970 and 1971) at the Jacksonville County Club, a wine and cheese reception at the Waters Edge Winery & Bistro, and events at the homecoming tent north of the football field. The college also had a ribbon-cutting for Legacy Plaza, where generous donors have purchased engraved bricks in the heart of the historic upper quad. These bricks leave a legacy and honor people, teams and organizations that made a difference in the lives of members of the Illinois College community. Proceeds of the Illinois College Brick Campaign benefit the IC Fund.
