Jacksonville “One-Stop-Shop” now open — DMV revamp streamlines services:
The Illinois Secretary of State has upgraded its Jacksonville DMV to a “One-Stop-Shop” design, improving the customer experience through reduced wait times and increased efficiency.
The renovation also includes updated signage to create a more logical flow and help customers know where to go, Secretary of State Alexi Giannoulias announced recently.
The Jacksonville DMV, located at 901 W. Morton Ave. #13, is among the initial facilities to undergo the “One-Stop-Shop” transformation and is now re-opened following extensive renovations to allow customers to access services at one single station.
As a part of the Secretary of State’s ongoing modernization efforts, the new DMV experience will save customers considerable time and several steps by offering both vehicle and driver services at a single service counter.
“Since taking office, I’ve made it a top priority to provide exceptional customer service and reduce lines and wait times,” said Giannoulias. “Our Jacksonville facility is among the first in Central Illinois to receive these renovations, giving it a modern feel while employing new technology to create efficiencies.”
“I’m excited to see our DMV facility upgraded to make the experience better for our customers,” said State Senator Jil Tracy (47th District—Quincy). “It is our job to make sure our residents can access these services as easily and quickly as possible.”
“This DMV upgrade is an investment in our community,” said State Representative Randy Frese (99th District—Quincy). “I’m thrilled to see our outdated DMV style be modernized to better serve customers.”
“It’s great to see the updates to the Jacksonville regional DMV. The services provided at this location are now more streamlined, leaving more time for each of us to go back to our often overly busy lives,” said State Representative C.D. Davidsmeyer (100th District—Jacksonville).
Driver services and vehicle services employees at “One-Stop-Shop” DMVs are now cross-trained to provide both sets of services.
At a single service counter, customers will be able obtain the following services:
• Apply for a REAL ID or a new driver’s license or state ID card.
• Renew a driver’s license, state ID or Temporary Visitor Driver’s License (TVDL).
• Register or renew their vehicle registration and obtain vehicle stickers.
• Order a new license plate.
• Join the Illinois Organ and Tissue Donor Registry.

Engelbach-Hart Music Festival to return as part of Fine Arts Series at Illinois College:
Illinois College welcomes the public to attend the Engelbach-Hart Music Festival on November 13-15 as part of this year’s Fine Arts Series.
This admission-free event is a gift to the community and will consist of three exceptional concerts by outstanding artists in IC’s Rammelkamp Chapel. The Engelbach-Hart Music Festival is possible through a generous gift to the community by the Engelbach and Hart families.
The internationally-renowned Vienna Boys Choir will kick off the festival on Wednesday, November 13 at 7:30 p.m. in Rammelkamp Chapel with their acclaimed Christmas concert. Designated as “intangible cultural heritage in Austria” by UNESCO, the Vienna Boys Choir is a don’t miss!
Thursday’s program will be a Faculty Collage Concert, highlighting the exceptional talents of the Illinois College music faculty.
Friday’s concert will feature Grammy-nominated piano duo ZOFO, short for 20-finger orchestra (ZO=20 and FO=finger orchestra). With acclamations such as “jaw-dropping awesome,” “energetically and electrifyingly out of this world,” and “rapturous noise,” ZOFO will take you on the journey of a lifetime.
The first Engelbach-Hart Music Festival took place in 2011. The late A.C. Hart ’25 H’76, Illinois College trustee emeritus, and the late Charlotte Engelbach Hart ’26 H’85 graduated from Illinois College in 1925 and 1926, respectively. The College awarded them each honorary degrees in recognition of their long-standing support of the music program. In 1979 the Hart Sesquicentennial Organ in Rammelkamp Chapel was dedicated in their honor. The baby grand piano in the choral rehearsal room was also named in their honor in 2003.
